The IFPI Annual Meeting features Micah Vincent, director of Indiana's Office of Management and Budget. Micah will give the keynote address during lunch.

Before lunch we'll have two sessions to new work by the Institute.

At 10 a.m. IFPI Senior Fellow John Stafford will discuss his findings ahead of the release of a report next month on the fiscal health of Indiana Cities. An emeritus instructor at Indiana Purdue University in Fort Wayne, Stafford is an expert on local finance issues in Indiana and his research for this project promises to shed new light on post-property tax conditions for cities across the state.

After that, Larry DeBoer will discuss his report, "What do we know about Indiana's property tax caps?" The Purdue University professor and acknowledged expert on property taxation has taken a comprehensive look at the state's experience since property tax caps were enacted and the implications for state and local government.

The IFPI board will meet at 2 p.m.

Members are encouraged to attend the meeting and bring guests. There is no cost to attend, but reservations are required.
